The educational award is open to the UK and overseas students commencing their PhD study programme in January 2022. The studentship is named in honour of the Founding Director of the Edinburgh Alwaleed Centre in recognition of his ground-breaking work on Islam and inter-religious relations.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills.

- Language Requirement: If English is not your first language, then you must submit a copy of a recent English language test certificate or provide details of when you are going to take the test. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language requirements in order to be able to study at the university. IELTS: total 7.0 (at least 6.0 in each module) or TOEFL-iBT: total 100 (at least 20 in each module)
Benefits
The studentship will cover the required tuition fee and an annual stipend £15,690 for the 2021-2022 academic year, increasing in line with UKRI rates.
