- The Sanctuary Scholarships also cover a full tuition fee waiver plus an annual living cost grant of £15,285 for Doctorate Students (STEM disciplines). A research allowance of £5000 per year will be paid and all funding will normally be for a maximum of 3.5 years.
- A full tuition fee waiver plus an annual living cost grant of £15,285 will also be covered for Doctorate Students (HASS disciplines). A research allowance of £750 per year will be paid and all funding will normally be for a maximum of 3 years.
Eligibility for Sanctuary Scholarships for Undergraduate Students
- To be qualified for these scholarship, you must have submitted a claim for asylum within the UK and are awaiting a response (this includes submission of a fresh claim) or have Limited Leave to Remain (formerly Discretionary Leave to Remain) in the UK and are not qualified for funding via Student Finance England.
- To be eligible for Sanctuary Scholarships for Undergraduate Students, you must have been awarded ‘Humanitarian Protection’ or Refugee status in the UK but are not qualified for funding via Student Finance England.
- You must have left care in the UK and are assessed as international for tuition fee purposes and are not qualified for funding via Student Finance England.
- Please note that for candidates to postgraduate research program only, you must have been granted refugee status by the UK Home Office.
- To be qualified for the scholarship, you must be the family member of someone with one of the immigration statuses listed above with ‘in line’ or ‘dependent’ status.
