Regents Scholarships for International Students is offered for Bachelor degree in the field of all Subjects offered at the University. The University of New Mexico is a public research university in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The University of Mexico was established on February 28, 1889. It offers Bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and professional degree programs. The Albuquerque campus surrounds over 600 acres (240 ha), and there are branch campuses in Gallup, Los Alamos, Rio Rancho, Taos, and Los Lunas.

The University of Mexico is New Mexico’s lead research institution, the largest post-secondary institution in the state in total enrollment across all campuses as of 2012, and also one of the state’s largest employers.
The university has continued to grow, with enlarging enrollment and new facilities. It had one of the largest student and faculty populations of Hispanics and Native Americans in the country. A study released in 1995 showed that the number of full-time Hispanic faculty at University of Mexico was four times greater than the national average and the number of Native American teachers five times greater. The schools of law and business also had some of the largest Hispanic student populations of any university in the country.
However, in the first decade of the 2000s, major growth started on medical facilities on North Campus. The present visitor center, a new engineering center, and George Pearl Hall were constructed. Expansions and Renovations were taking place on several buildings on Main Campus, along with the establishment of a branch campus in Rio Rancho. This wave of construction is taking place with more projects ongoing.
The University of Mexico was the first university in the country in 2016 to launch a Signature School Program with the Central Intelligence Agency, which help scholars to connect with analysts and learn how to join the CIA once they graduate.
Value of Regents Scholarships for International Students
The Regents Scholarships for International Students will cover an award of fully funded $20,000 per year towards tuition fee and housing from University of New Mexico.
